I am neither. Both political parties are corrupt to the core. Elected officials are not responsible to their contituents but rather they pander to the corporations, special intersts and lobbyists who donate to their reelection campaigns, PACs, 527s or to their national party committee.

I am a libertarian because I belive that we are, and have been, gradually losing our inherent liberties that the constitution instructed the government to protect for us. The government is supposed to protect our liberties, not decide what rights to grant us.

But since Libertarian candidates that are worth voting for are far and few between I study all the candidates and vote for the one who best represents what I value in a candidate.

I'm 43 years old and I've always been a Democrat.

I haven't always voted on party lines (I live in California and I voted for Ahhhnold for Governor).

Yes, I know why I'm a Democrat - I share the core beliefs that the founders had, and in the heart and soul of the Constitution.

Republicans, in my experience, view the Constitution as just some quaint old document that gets in the way of their lucrative business deals. This is NOT what the framers had in mind.

It wasn't always that way mind you - in Abraham Lincoln's time - The Republican party was the Liberal party.

Had I lived in that time, well, I would have been Republican.

Republican. Because I beleive in the basic mantras of entrepreneurialism and capitalism. I believe in less taxation, and laissez faire. I beleive that ff I work hard enough I can achieve great things. That's just the basics. But when it comes down to strictly held beliefs about each and every issue, I do not always agree with the Rep Party. I also occasionally vote Dem. I suppose I am a moderate Republican since I would consider voting for McCain or Giuliani.

I am a liberal, and usually vote for Democrats. I am 60 years old, and, of course, I know why I believe in the things that I believe in! I think that they are the morally correct answers for me, and the most Christ-like of all choices. I have a few thoughts that I try to let guide me, even though I am not a practicing Christian at this time. I DO think that Jesus had the "right" answers.

"Whatsoever you do to the least of MY brothers, that you do unto Me"
"Love your neighbor as yourself."
And the only people He ever lost His temper with, were the MONEYCHANGERS in the temple!!

I'm neither really, overall. It depends on the issue. There are things about both that I agree with and things about both that I disagree with. I don't toe any particular party line. I guess you could say I'm more of a moderate.

I'm a Democrat. At first, it was because my entire family and friends were. As I got older and started making up my own mind, I found that they were right.

Independent. I vote by issues, and not by party. Because the dems have some good ideas and the reps have some good ideas, but neither is ALL good nor ALL bad.

I am a strong Republican because I know that democrats are ruining society.

I do not believe women should be allowed to have abortions; the child is alive inside of them. To me, there is no difference between a woman who has had an abortion and a murderer.

I support increased military and defense spending because a war is coming to America soon, especially since the dems are in partial control.

Also, I believe that if one claims to be a Christian, they cannot be a liberal.
