Let me answer the travel part.

Depends on where you are coming to Hyderabad from. The best way to reach Visa Balaji or Chilkur Balaji temple is from a locality called Mehdipatnam in the West of Hyderabad. This place is easily accessible from all parts of Hyderabad. It is 10kms from Secunderabad Railway Station, 7 from the Airport and 4 from the Hyderabad(Nampally) Railway Station.

Buses No 5 or 49M (every 10mins) from Secunderabad Station, No 49M from Airport and No 65 (every 15mins) from Hyderabad station take you to Mehdipatnam.

Autos charge Rs 5.60/km in Hyderabad.

From Mehdipatnam, every 10-15mins, there are buses which go directly to the Temple. Bus No 288D.

Ordinary buses (fare Rs 10 approx) and the more comfortable Metro Express buses(fare Rs 15 approx) ply regularly. The return journey can also be achieved similarly.

Buses also run directly to the temple from Secunderabad Station and Afzalgunj areas, but the services are few and irregular.

Hope you have a great darshan and get your Visa.

Avoid going on weekend, as there will be too much rush.
Reach hyderabad from whereever you are.
Look out for buses for a place called Mehadipattnam, There you will find lots of buses going to 'Chilkur Balaji'.
Board the bus,its about 25 Kms from there.
While coming back buses start from the temple and drop you to Mehadipattanam.
wat else you want to know ?

When you go to the VISA Balaji Temple (also known as CHILKUR BALAJI) you have do 11 parikramas and ask for visa. When your wish is fulfilled, go again for thanks giving with 108 parikramas. COunting charts are available. No other expenses are required. Many people have got good results from VISA BALAJI. Also dont forget to apply to the consulate before you come here.

As soon as you step in Hyderabad, enquire about passport office. Temple is exactly 35 KM from there. Have a nice trip.
