there is a Formula, that name's Dreak Formula(i think),
this formula will calculate the number on the intelligent aliens who will like to be in communicate with us.
there is some factor's in the formula:
the percent of star's which have planet's around them to orbit.
the percent of the plant's that life can be exit on them
the percent of that, can this new society go's to be intelligent?
and can they destroy their society?
and should they want to communicate with us?
and more like "why they should not to destroy because of hunger or else?"

and at last, the answer of the formula is very very intresting.
it's not just one(us) and not even 2 or 3
it's the thousand's
so i, my self believe that there must be some aliens but not the bad one's.
and so i my self believe that the UFOs that we see every year, are not them.
(at the end i apologies because of my weak English ;) )

Hey, has anyone check the NASA website lately? They said that they have identified over 200 planets orbiting nearby stars!

The new planets were detected by scanning stars and finding perfectly round shadows orbiting them. They say the planets detected are all gas giants simular to Jupiter and Satern in size but they believe that the smaller planets like Earth will be observable with the launch of the new probe called SIM PlanetQuest. They will send it to certain stars, some of them very familiar such as Sirius, Altair, and Alpha Centauri.

Kepler, another JPL planet-finding mission, will perform a census of Earthlike planets around distant stars. Kepler is scheduled to launch in 2008.

Personally I think the best place to find intellegent life is Sirius, but thats just my opinion. I also think that aliens will reveal themselves around 2010. Thats also one of my wacky beliefs.

Just in the news this year I believe there has already been reported five UFO's spotted in America. One was over my own state of North Carolina which is pretty spooky yet exciting! I thinks its painfully obvious that I believe in aliens, but its up to everyone to have thier own ideas on the matter. A majority of Americans today admit to believing in aliens. If you said you believed in ETs in the 80's, people looked at you as if you were stupid. We will just have to wait for proof to back it up, until then I'm gonna be watching the sky's and hoping they don't crash on my roof, ha ha! I also think it is good to have a healthy dose of scepticism, after all, if your are slightly sceptic it halps you find the truth instead of just relying on faith.

Sorry for rambling on, but I checked a UFO sightings database and I noticed the number of sightings have increased in recent years. Some of them might just be meteors, but you never know. Even my mom said she thought she saw one on her way to work one morning and it was zigzagging around 'till it dissappeared. Real or not, I think aliens are cool!

Check my source website! Its way far out!

yes there are and there would be aliens,im 11th grade science student and my opinion abt this is= think that we r living beings in this universe that is so vast,if we can have brains so the people like us in other corner of the universe would also hav brains or they would b more advance than us.i have photos of ufos and its really shoking it is 100% real. i think people should agree that ther are aliens.

we r not alone

Do you really believe this planet is the only one full of life?
That would be like going back in time, when the believe was that the Earth was the center of the Universe.
Come on!!, think big.

There are so many stars, solar systems and galaxies that we can't even fathom the number. Its not possible to count let alone get to any of those stars, solar systems or galaxies. We will never see all of the universe, so it is idiotic to think we are the only intelligent beings out there. Even if we never see them, we can't say they don't exist. What do you think?

Maybe. They're not flying around the sky in UFOs, but its very possible some simple lifeforms, like bacteria, have evolved on another planet.

Sure, there are lots of them, they are a long distance away and you will never meet one or maybe never prove they do exist.
They are there!

We cna't answer it like any other question such as "Is moon there". This question is not verified scientifically or practically. So, the answer is 'we don't know it yet'.
