I lived in Spain for a couple years and flew Iberia a lot and it was fine. I can't say there's anything exceptionally good or bad about it. The one thing that I found kind of strange is that you get more leg room & bigger/spacier seats on the smaller planes that they use for national flights within Spain than you do on the huge planes they use for the international flights from the U.S. to Spain and back. I don't know if this is typical of other airlines or not becausae Iberia is the only airline I've ever flown with on both international flights as well as national flights within a foreign country. I know it's probably because they try to squeeze as many people (and therefore seats) as possible onto those international flights so they put the seats closer together in order to fit more. But it always kinda annoyed me because the international flights are the terribly long ones which is when you really want and NEED as much space as possible, especially for your poor cramped-up legs! On the national flights in Spain, you're only on them for, at most, like 2 hours so it doesn't matter as much. You can tolerate a little less space when it's a shorter flight.

I flew Iberia arilines a few times when I went to Spain. The first couple of times no problem, but the last time they sent one of my suitcases to Rome. It took them almost 2 weeks to get it back. I wasn't happy about that at all. I'll probably fly another airline next time.
