&the triangle is a right triangle. Does that mean all of the angles equal 90 degrees?

A right triangle contains a 90° angle. The 3 angles add up to 180°. So if one is 59°, the other acute angle is 31°.

It's a right triangle, so one of the other angles must equal 90° that leaves the third angle which must equal
90 - 59 = 31°
