The Snake Pit (a classic). Someone mentioned Shock Corridor, which is now on DVD. Find a copy--hard to watch at times, but fascinating.

Plus the home movie made of a beach vacation trip when my mother was in one of her bouts with Anorexia. As kids, my brother and I called it "Death Takes a Summer Holiday". Sorry--Had to go there.
