I want to be a reseracher, and find things like cure for cancer. How would i go about doing that? What should I major in college? Also, if I am not completely 100% sure about being a researcher, can I still became a practicing doctor if I have MD-Phd, after I decide that it is not for me? Also, is MD enough to be a researcher, or do you absolutely have to have a Phd as well?

Mds do not have phd by default, otherwise I wouldnt ask...They can have both but having one doesnt give you the other...theres a 7 years program called MD/Phd which is why I am asking...

Mds have PhDs by default. PhDs dont necessarily have MDs. If you want to do research on cancer i would go with the MD because eventually you are going to want to do human research.
