It depends if they sing good or not. I get really uncomfortable when someone who thinks they can sing starts singing. It's like you wanna tell them they can't carry a tune, but you don't wanna hurt their feelings. Or sometimes if they're just singing just for fun I'll join in.

If it is a song I like, I sing along with them. If it is someone I know, and I don't like the song or thier singing, I will joke around and say something like. OH MY GOD! WHO RAN OVER THAT CAT? CAN'T YOU JUST HEAR HIM SCREAMING IN PAIN? Most of the time though I just let them sing, and go on with what ever I am doing.

If it makes you uncomfortable, then turn the tables... start singing too, but suck. Whether you suck just cuz or you buthcer a classic piece of music on purpose, either way, the end result is to make the singer feel so uncomfortable hearing you sing, that he/she stops singing for fear you will join in.

I'm the one who is always singing. Though when I'm not and someone else is, I usually join in if I know the song.

Ignore it or start a conversation about nothing..
A good way to stop someone from saying anything is just to look at thme and say with a straight face... " Man am I horny "
That usually shuts anyone up.

If it's a random dude then i'll be putting on earphones or if it's somebody i know then i'll tell them go sing on american idol.
