I would go back to your doctor. Being on the pill does not keep you safe. It will prevent a pregnancy, but not an STD. If you have been bleeding for that long, talk with your doctor, and try another method of birth control.

I'm not sure what birth control you are taking, pill, patch, shot, etc. BUT, if you just started the birth control your body is changing and you WILL be on your period for about a month, if you have been taking the birth control and this is a new problem you might want to ask your gyn... it could be an assortment of problems. I know its annoying, but stay with it. Even though you are now taking birth control it usually takes atleast 3 months for your body to become tolerant to the substance, so still be carefull. I hope this helps, and another helpful hint. while taking birth control watch out for antibiotics, becasue it kills the ammunity to the birth control.. Hope you feel better soon, i hope i was of some assistance.

Did you just start the birth control? Sometime depending on the type the first month or two on a new birth control can cause unusually long and/or heavier periods. I would call the doctors office you got your control from and let them know this is happening. But from my experience every time I start a different kind of birth control the same thing happened to me. Relax and wait and see.

It could be that you need to change birthcontrol pills. How long have you been on these? I had a similar problem a couple years back, I started my period and it never really stopped....I bled for about 2 months. I had to see a OB/GYN. They will prescribe pills for 5 days, which should stop the bleeding (they are very similar to the first five in your birthcontrol pack, just stronger) If that does not help they will probably increase your birthcontrol, the way they did with me.
You should definately call your doctor and set up an appointment to get checked out.

sad to say if you have just gotten birthcontrol it may last a bit longer. different birth controls have different symptoms. i have an implanon implant and i had spotting for 1 month and a heavy period first. they say it takes 3 months at the most to settle into birth controll. so hang in there. besides as i found out when you cant have sex all the time u realise how sweet your partner can really be. (more then usual of cause)
good luck its worth the wait anyway.

if you just started the BC- youll have some spotting or a full on period for a while until your body gets used to the hormone changes. if you havent recently started the BC, I would go back to your gynecologist, or from wherever you received the BC and tell them about your problem. dont waste time with this kind of stuff- it could be serious.
