yes goldfish lay eggs. They become sexually mature at around 2 years of age. Females have a protuding anal vent, males have a concave anal vent. When a male is ready to spawn, he begins to show tiny stars or sparkles on his gill plates & pectoral fins. Males have thicker pectoral fins and dorsal fins.

Yes,goldfish(females) lay eggs. It is hard to tell which is male and which is female until they get big and mature. Then you can tell by watching their behavior. The ones that are chasing are males;the ones being chased are females. The chasing is part of the mating. I do not know of any positive signs on the fish that give a clue to their sex.

yes, goldfish lay eggs
generally, male goldfish are slimmer than females
females only have one ovary and when you look down on her you can see a bulge on one side
during breeding season males will get little white bumps all over his gill plates (don't mistake it for ick) and his pectoral fins
