I would like to load a hidden IFRAME when I select an option from a combo box. Then I would like to update the iframe with the appropriate page and then update the innerHTML of a certain div to the HTML in the hidden iframe. Anyone know how to do this?

dhtml & iframes are last century's tools! AJAX does it better!

$("#certainDiv") .load("appropriatepage") is the exact code using jquery!

http://jquery.com Join the new world of javascript!

a fuller solution could include parsing the appropriate page or throwing it into a setInterval!

He not in any respect may have chosen that had it not been for the hot television and HD!I do personal an HDTV...even though it doubles as my pc demonstrate screen for image modifying. i imagine i have became on the satellite tv for pc container 6 or 7 situations because I hooked it up very last three hundred and sixty 5 days (it really is a 2d-room unit...my roomie is the television addict). I reckon if all I did became plant myself in the front of the fool container and use up gray count watching the rubbish placed out by technique of the networks, i'd get into it extra. yet i do not see that coming anytime authentic quickly.

Give your iFrame a name, such as CONTENTSECTION

Have it load a default and blank page so it will appear to be hidden such as empty.htm

Then in your drop down box, set the Target for each link or page to open, to open in CONTENTSECTION

View Page 1
