What are the "defining features" that make up this concept ? (i.e. attributes arguments, issues, etc...)

I'm wrting about "Manifest and Latent Functions". this question is part of my assignmen, but I really don't understand what it means or what am I suppose to write.

By the way, if whoever wants to answer my question is going to post me some information from an encyclopedia or a website that doesn't answer my question then I'm going to report him.

What concept is the question referring to? If I'm guessing correctly, then you need to write about what exactly a manifest function is vs. a latent function. Basically, it's a definition question.
