Backstabbing...
We all backslide.... and taken for what it is, does not make us bad people.... just human.
Backstabbing is pure ill will...... evil.... done by choice...
There is NEVER an excuse for backstabbing...and it shows how small one's character really is.

They are equal. All sins are equal.
The consequences can also be equal if you said you won't do something anymore then you backslide people may not trust you anymore; the same with backstabbing you lose trust. It just depends on how dangerous the thing you backslid to is. Then the consequences for backslididng could be worse.
I don't know which one is worse in the sense that I am most afraid it of happening to me. I've changed a lot in the past year and I really don't want to go back to the way I was. But at the same time I don't really trust anyone (but one of my friends) because of things that went on at my school and mainly because everyone used to lie to me, so I don't really tell people anything. I guess I'm more afraid of backsliding than being stabbed in the back. I don't want to re-live last year.

Backstabbing, it is so much worse and hurtful when someone else does it, especially someone you know. Backsliding only hurts myself and it would be my decision.

Backstabbing-it hurts someone else. Backsliding usually (at least at first) just hurts yourself.
