I don't have Alltel, but based on the map, Florida appears to have really great coverage, I'm not quite sure if that is completely accurate. There is an area on the site where you can enter the zip code to see the local coverage, I tried several different zip codes and it said they could not be found and to try again. So, I am going to assume that the system is down right now. You may want to check a little later.

I would contact Alltel to ask them about the coverage in Orlando, or maybe go to the store where you purchased it and ask if they are able to look up the coverage by zip code.

If the system doesn't start working, I would look up your friends phones coverage, if it covers Orlando you may be better off that way. I have Verizon and it works fine in Orlando, since it is a popular travel destination most companies should have pretty good service, but there is not guarentee and you wouldn't want to not have it when you get there. The only time I have had problems is when I call from my hotel room, but that was a few years ago, the newer phones seem to work better, though not all work in the room. You may have to go outside or on a balcony.

Have a great time!

Yes Alltel definitely covers Orlando. I spent a week at Disney two years ago and had no problems at all. In fact, I had no problems from NJ all the way to Ft. Lauderdale FL. (I also traveled West to Houston TX and had no problems then either!) There is very little that Alltel doesn't cover anymore.

Don't forget to pack your chargers!!
