Well, you could do a lot worse than Porgy and Bess. Tell your teacher it was about a black drug dealer, and that it was written by George Gershwin.

Nobody likes that description, but it's true: a New York guy named "Sportin' Life" seduces the good Porgy's girlfriend Bess with 'magic dust.' It has the best music and the most depressing plot of any Broadway play ever produced. You already know the songs.

i dont know any broadways, but i know wizard of oz and alot of other classic disney films with songs in them.

in response to your advice to me, the thing is i know everybody wants to do it, but ive got my heart set on it for the right reasons, and i know thats trrue. yes, there is other things i COULD do, but i dont know if i could live my life thinking what if, and i dont really LOVE those other things. i dont know, it's really affecting every aspect of my life, that one thought of should i? and seriously, if some of the movies out there are beign made and some of the actors are really acting, who says a little bit of luck, passion, and talent cant take me far?
