Everyone is saying drink milk, but it can aggrivate it more to drink milk. Might works for a short time, but it can cause worse heartburn in the long run. Use 1 teaspoon baking soda in a glass of water. It is a natural antacid. Don't take any over the counter reflux medication without checking with your doctor first!! Bananas help with heartburn, as do bread and crackers. They soad up the acid, and bananas are good for most tummy problems. Mint, mainly peppermint works to settle tummies, but hasn't been proven to help heartburn.
I would get you some tums tomorrow. They are the only approved antacid for pregnancy. Also, stay away from citrus fruits and juices, this can make heartburn worse. Also stay away from spicy foods, or foods that tend to make you gassy. This can all cause heartburn. Of course, you are pregnant, so it is probably just the baby pushing on your stomach and gestational tract. You can try sleeping with your head propped up slightly. That may help at night. Other then that, there isn't much you can do right now. Try the baking soda, see what happens. It should help, and it won't hurt the baby, or you. Good luck!!!

If I didn't have any tums (which was rare because my Dr gave me TONS of samples), I'd drink some milk. That always helped.

a teaspoon of baking soda in a small glass of water should help. If you don't have baking soda, I know this sounds crazy, but a teaspoon of vinegar can help too.

I am amazed that no one has suggested baking soda! Dissolve a teaspoon in a half-cup of warm water and drink--or look on the box and follow the directions printed there.

Vinegar is good or if you can't stand to drink a tablespoon or so of plain vinegar then swallow a tablespoon of yellow mustard.

You can have a peppermint candy or gum. Maybe even brush your teeth and swallow just the tiniest bit of mint toothpaste. Mint is a natural stomach relaxant.
