i mean legally. like when pheobe got married on friends she went somewhere but i cant remember where. can you help me out here?

I had my first name legally changed, and my ex wife had her last name legally changed to my last name. you have to go to the district court fill out the paper work then it's like $80. you then have to go in front of a judge and they ask you. "are you changing your name to do illegal stuff or hide from legal problems." you say "no." the the judge will say "let me be the first to congratulate you on your new name."

You might try calling your City Hall and ask. I am not sure. An attorneys office secretary could probably tell you.
