Rock of Gibraltar is located in Gibraltar, belonging to United Kingdom.
However, it is located in the Northern Hemisphere and the Eastern Hemisphere. Specifically, it is next to Spain, on a tiny peninsula, which also contains La Linea, Spain. It is very near the Strait of Gibraltar, which separates Spain (and Europe) from Morocco (and Africa). It is nearly 5.5º west longitude and just north of 36º north latitude.
The Strait of Gibraltar is all that separates Africa from Europe and is also what connects the Mediterranean Sea with the Atlantic Ocean. Gibraltar is about 19 miles northeast of Punta de Tarifa, at the tip of Spain. The shortest distance across the Strait of Gibraltar is only about 13 miles.

Northern Hemisphere. On the tip of Southern tip of Spain. More information for you It's 8 miles from North Africa divided by the straits of Gibraltar which is the only entrance into the Mediterranean. They are building a tunnel between Gibraltar/southern Spain and Africa (like the euro tunnel). Gibraltar is still under British control and is class as British territory. Hope that helps you. It's in the Northern Hemisphere on the southern tip of Spain.
Looking out across the narrow Straits of Gibraltar, you can see
Morocco, 8 mi (12.9 km) off Point Marroquí to 27 mi (43 km) distant.
