Always put the teething ring in the fridge, unless of course directed by your doctor. They say that if you put it in the freezer it may be too cold for the baby to use however if you only leave it in for about five or ten minutes it should be fine.

Some can be, I know one of the kids in the day care I used to work in had one that was "ice cubes" with letters on them they were supposed to be frozen. Some say you can place them in a freezer for no longer than about 15 minutes...other's say not to put them in a freezer at all. You simply have to read the instructions.

try the freezer if it's at room temp. And yes it is a good thing to put it in the freezer because it not only makes it cold it also feels good on their gums and teeth that are coming in.

If the teether is water filled (it will say so on the package), then you put it in the fridge. If it is gel filled, then you can put it in the freezer. Do not put the water filled one in the freezer, it is supposed to soothe their gums, but if frozen, it can be extremely painful, and easily broken by baby teeth which are surprisingly sharp!
