It's one thing to tell a joke but you are trying to make a point using jokes. A persons communication style is an indicator of intelligence.
It’s one thing to have an opinion about something; it’s something else entirely to be able to argue your point eloquently, cogently, and with great effect.
Emotional intelligence is the ability of a person to control their behaviors and emotions in relationship with others. When people interact, the person with the widest range of flexibility in behavior, and emotion will always have the upper hand. When you can control your emotions you are able to think more clearly, stay focused, negotiate conflict, manage others, communicate, and solve problems more effectively. A refined communication method gives for more power to influence others.
