Although you do not tell us what kind of car it is, chances are the turn signal problem is the multi-function switch, which is the switch connected to the turn signal stalk with the headlight dimmer etc.

To peel out, rev it to about 4000 rpm and quickly release the clutch. If an automatic, hold the brakes while revving the engine, then release the brakes and floor it at the same time. Of course, you need an engine with enough power and also, this is abusive.

Signal light doesn't work on either side? Hazard lights don't work either? The flasher unit is the problem. A square block on the fuse box may be the unit. Take it in back to those who installed the steering - they will know what to look for.

look under the dash there should be a silvercan about 1inch high and about 1 inch across that is your flasher unit it may have gotten unplugged. I just hope you have one irt may be under the hood in the main fuse box also good luck if yu cant find it get a manual it will tell you where it is at

You should have got a new steering column instead.
1.To peel out press gas pedal to floor with car in neutral.
2. engage transmission and hang on.
