Definitely NOT.
The best part of a trip (I'm talking pleasure, not business) is being where you want to be and experiencing what that place has to offer.

Reminds me of the time about 20 years ago when my bf and I got stranded in our '69 Chevy van in Rochester. After living in the van at the garage for a week it finally got a new motor but the trip home was long because the battery wasn't charging properly. We had to stop and beg people for a boost quite often and only drive during daylight. Finally we made it back home to New Brunswick and I was so happy to see our little "dungeon" that we lived in.

Most of the time it has been the best part, but there have been times I didn't want to come back.

Sure it's very nice coming home. But more exciting heading out to unchartered territories. Maybe there's a new home there!
Besides, somebody's gotta clean this place up!

No - I'm always depressed when a trip ends and I have to go back to my everyday life.

If you have a day or two extra off from work, then it's fine.
