i do all those things eventually it stops, so i really dont know which one works.

i don't know if its a charlie horse for sure, but whatever it is when it happens it hurts so bad i can't make a sound or even move, but it usually doesn't last long and hasn't happened in a long time thankfully. when it does happen its when i'm in a very deep sleep.

I straighten it out as much as I can...It might hurt worse, but it always seems to make the pain go away quicker for me

i stretch my leg out, and if it doesn't stop hurting i get up and walk around.

I have to get up and walk it off, it makes the pain go away much faster.

I take my thumb and forefinger and pinch my upper lip just below my nose as hard as I can. Sounds strange, but it works. Try it next time.
