dropping food on the floor?

when you drop food on the floor do you go with the 5 second rule or do you extend it to the 5 minute rule?

I guess it would really depend on how good the food was, and if you could bring yourself to throw it away.. or how hungrey you were ... my two major determiners. If this was your absolutly favourite chocolate bar, and it fell on the floor, 5 seconds, 5 minutes, your going to eat that chocolate bar.. a brussel sprout, that fell off your plate might not be so lucky.. 5 seconds.. 5 minutes.. :D

At my house we don't have a 5 minute rule cuz after 5 seconds the dog got it .....

my aunt told me 5 mintues lol when i was little so everytime i drop it and forget to pick it up i ate it. But as i got older its 5 seconds aha and i still eat it.

Neither one. I clean it up and throw it away. My health is more important than salvaging food off the floor.

Depends on what it was...if it was wet or sticky, There is a .000000001 second rule... if it's dry, then usually the 30 second rule:-)

they blow on it and brush it off to eliminate the dogs hair not bacteria stupid. its now unlikely to kill u.s. suck it up. what do you've OCD? i wager it ought to kill you once you've mrsa on your floor , yet unlikely except you stay in a well being facility. get over IT.
