I have a mac Ibook G4 and recently got a USB mini webcam. The cam works with my maccam and can view it and record, but when i go to use it with yahoo it says that it doesn't detect a webcam, am I doing something wrong?

I went to the camera source button and it still won't detect it

Try going into Preferences under the messenger menu. Click on Webcam in the box on the left and click the Camera Source button at the top. Make sure your camera name is selected and try to use it then.

Try these two sites below and search for the answer there. I would make sure that the cams drivers are updated. I used to have the same problem. Seems sometimes the servers are down or something. I tried using when talking to women in the philippines and it NEVER would work for about 5 months. Then one day I tried it and viola. It was working and I had not done nothing. But even here in the states, it still works most of the time, but every now and then it messes up and will not work with Yahoo. Gremlins. lol
