A group of about 4 other people and I have been entered in an art contest to paint a mural in a local hospital. What should we paint?
The rules are-
-Should be zen-like
-Possibly a landscape
Any other ideas of what we should paint? Thanks

i think you should do something like the fountain of youth or the tree of life something uplifting anyway

A seascape with a lighthouse and palm trees. Make the waves big and crashing against the rocks the lighthouse is on, with some beach in it. Maybe like Hawaii.

hospitals are about calm, healing, and meditation. try an anicent oriental design, dewy mountains, waterfalls, mist rising over a steady lake. check out crouching tiger, hidden dragon; hero; and the samurai for inspiration.

outdoor park...Japanese garden, koi pond...lots of color, flowers, birds, koi/fish...
(don't forget the bridges...lanterns...rocks, etc...)
bamboo/rock garden....bamboo, different rocks forming a stream (black/blue within gray surroundings) large stones, a water fall, small flowering plants...Japanese maples (red)
