good luck.
and relax.

hi,
technically the weight charts do not really start until you get to 5 feet. (the paediatrician's office has growth charts to which they measure you and put you on a percentile chart, but they are just an average as well...)
women at 5 feet should weigh 95 # +/- 10-15% (a fudge factor for different body styles). For every inch OVER 5 feet, add 5 pounds...since you are 4'11", you could theoretically deduct 5 pounds, making it 90 pounds... So, you being 4'11", 90 pounds +/- 15 % would give you 103.5 pounds. Since you are so close to your body weight, I would advise against going on a diet unless your physician advises so. The reason being is that you are in prime time for you to have many growth spurts, both physically and sexually. To have 10 extra pounds, when your metabolism is racing at 900 miles per hour is not all that bad.
However, if you are still determined to lose 10 pounds, avoid junk food, eat more proteins and veggies (limit your carbs to 20-40 grams per day) and walk a mile in 15 minutes or less every day.
It takes the loss of (or the not eating of) 3500 calories to lose a pound of fat. So, in order to lose 10 pounds, you have to lose 35,000 or not consume 35,000 calories over and above what you need everyday to make ends meet. A 12 year old young lady who is athletic needs to eat between 2,500 and 3,000 calories a day.
good luck

First, I would like to say that you are only 12 so you don't really need to be going on a diet and for your family to tell you that you should is really wrong. You should be enjoying time with your friends and having fun, not worrying about losing weight. You seem like you are really active already which should mean you are in good shape. What you have is called "baby fat" and there's not really a way to get rid of it right now. When you hit puberty, it'll start going where it's supposed to be. If it bothers you that bad though, keep up with the exercise and that'll help. Also if you drink sodas, switch it to water instead. Eat regular meals, but try not to snack on sweets. Try some veggies or fruit instead. But I suggest telling your mom and friend that if they really love you, then they should love you just the way you are...

Why do you want to way between 90-95 pounds? You are an athlete, which means that you probably have a lot of muscle mass as opposed to fat. Why do you consider yourself fat? Do people tell you that you're fat? Have you talked with your doctor about your weight? Are you letting the media dictate how you think your body should look? The images you see on T.V. and in magazines are unrealistic. If you play all those sports, celebrate the fact that your body can do all those things. You are a talented athlete and you should respect your body by feeding it nutrient-dense foods (think fruits, vegetables, lean protein, carbohydrates, fats, calcium, etc.). You are young and your body is still developing. Discuss with your doctor or a nutritionist the best meal plan to follow to give your body the energy it needs to perform in all those sports. You go girl! Celebrate your body. Don't hate it.

Since there are enough of you trying or wanting to lose weight, you can try weightwatchers.com and see whether their diet plans help you. I read good accounts about them and about the Southbeach diet too. If you are not in USA also, weightwatchers.com is helpful since you can access all the info. trhough the net.
Increasing your fiber content is the single most important thing that you could probably do to reduce the absorption of sugar from the food into your blood stream, which finally ends up as fat.
I am presuming that your thyroid profile is normal. If you are not sure, it will be a good idea to discuss these issues with your doctor.

oh my goodness you are still growing! you should just eat good wholesome foods because you will grow into your adult size. do not deprive yourself of nutrition and calcium is important too. Stay away from junk foods as much as possible and take a nice walk with family and friends. The Y clubs offers classes to young people too in excersise. if you treat yourself once in a while it is ok just make a small portion. Most preteens go through a "chubby" stage and outgrow it. You are at an age where you can make changes in you eating habits and the body is more forgiving. Remember that milk is good for you and yogurt too

Good luck!

All females have to have some fat on their body in order to function properly. It is natural. Without it, you will not have your period and your body will starve. You are a normal weight and your activity level is perfect. Please don't deprive your body of things that it needs. You are not fat! If you want to shoot for being a little healthier, just try cutting out anything with sugar like sodas, candies etc.
