I used to, but one day I stopped and realized I looked better without it. Give it a try. You just might discover a new look about yourself.

Well, the order eye makeup was intended to go in is:
-Eyeshadow base
-Powder Eyeshadow, traditionally a medium shade on lid, darker color in crease and lightest color (just a smidge) on the brow bone and blending is key!
-And then would come the eyeliner on your top lid, on most eye shapes: start from the outside corner, and make short, feathery strokes inward, getting more narrow as you get closer to the inside corners, a little thicker on the outside corners.
-Eyeliner on the bottom isn't my favorite, maybe a little in the outside corners, again getting thinner as you go inward, but often times mascara on the bottom creates enough of a "line" where you wouldn't need an actual liner
-Then apply your Lash Primer: a white conditioning coat for the lashes, thickens lashes big time, moisturizes and helps your use less mascara and also glides off easier when removing
-And last but not least, your mascara. Start at the root of your lashes wiggling the wand side to side as you blink slowly, the brush will be able to wrap around each lash and cover it real well with mascara.
I hope all of that helped, good luck...
Clinique makes a wonderful lash primer which costs $12.50 and their newest mascara is only $13.50 and is called High Definition Lashes, it has a normal mascara wand and a small comb to really help define lashes while seperating great!

I put the eyeliner on first, because it gives the powder eyeshadow a little something to "stick" to, which prevents it from creasing throughout the day. Even better if your eyeliner is the same shade.
If I'm going for a thin black line above my lashes, paired with a light eyeshadow color like pink, I'll still put the eyeliner on first for the "stick" effect, then after I apply the eyeshadow I'll touchup the dark line with the liner.

eye shadow first and then I use a liquid liner....but, have also used eye shadow as my liner...you just use one of those slim, angled eye shadow brushes and that works great as well...if you want to make the shadow look a little darker when using it as a liner, try dampening your shadow brush a little before applying as the liner..........does this make sense? Who knows? Just play around...have fun! Love being a girlie girl! :)

it depends on the look you are going for. If you want a hard look that really stands out, you put the eyeliner on last. If you want a soft look you put the shadows on last, that way they mute the hard lines of the eyeliner, but the eyeliner still shows through. I would go soft for day time wear and hard for nite wear cause at nite the lights are dimmer and you want your makeup to highlight your features. Oh and if you are in a play or on a stage of some sort, even though there are lots of bright lights you wanna go heavy so your features can be seen from far away.

Shadow, eyeliner, and then mascara last. I do it in this order because it gives me a better idea of how to smudge my eyeliner to help it blend with the darkest shade of eye shadow, closest to the eye itself. One thing I have been trying recently, and it has worked well, is get a 4 shade eye shadow and use the darkest shade as eyeliner.

relies upon on the look your going for, in case you opt on your eyeliner to face out (which many times can make eyes look smaller) then you absolutely ought to practice it after your eyeshadow. Doing it in opposite you may make the liner look better diffused/blend it in which includes your eyeshadow (in preserving with colors). As on your eyes searching smaller quite a number of factors flow into the perfect eye lining. Thickness, color being major. Watch the thickness on the interior corners of your eye, this area should be skinny and alongside the lash line growing in thickness in the route of the outer corners. Your bottom lash line should be quiet skinny regardless of the indisputable fact that a similar idea.

shadow, you are supposed to see the liner over the shadow and if you put the shadow on last, you can't do that.
