Do I pick up my birth certificate at the city buiding where I was born or the county buiding?

I was told by my hubby to pick ut up at the city building but I thought I cud pick it up at the county building.

You get it at the Bureau of Vital Statistics, wherever that happens to be located. Where I live, it's in the City-County Building which has recently merged. But I think your husband is correct. Check the City Building and see if the Bureau of Vital Statistics is located there. Or check your phone directory under the local government listings.
