An old wives tale says that this one will be a girl, but the odds that it's right are only 50/50. =)

According to the myth, if you are sick, if your face gets fat, or if you carry a certain way, you'll have a girl. Or if you have heartburn, the baby will have hair. There are tons of those stories out there, and some people will swear by them.

In my case, I was sick as a dog with my son. In fact, my dr. told me that if I didn't stop loosing weight by my next visit, she was going to check me into the hospital for IV fluids. But by my next visit, I didn't loose anything. Didn't gain anything for another month and a half, but didn't loose anything else, so I don't know if she was serious or just bluffing.

Anyway, the truth is that every pregnancy is different. Some women have terrible sickness with every pregnancy, boy or girl, some don't get sick with any of them. And some women experience each type of pregnancy.

It could be a girl this time, but the odds are the same that it will be another boy.

Good luck and congratulations!

No this doesnt mean your going to have a girl. Yes u might be having a girl but being sick all the time doesnt mean this. I have had 3 children 1 boy & 2 girls. With my son i vomitted once, My first born daughter i was in bed for the first 3mths as i was always ill and sick, My 3rd child another girl i barley felt sick at all mabe once or twice. I'd wait until an ultrasound and found out that way. Every pregnancy is different as is every child.

No, all pregnancies are different. The first time I was pregnant, I didn't get sick at all, with this one I am sick a lot! Morning sickness has nothing to do with if it's going to be a boy or girl.

No, it means that no two pregnancies are alike, even in the same mother. If being sick all the time meant having a girl then my sister would be my brother because my mom wasn't sick when pregnant for my sister.

No it doesn't mean that you gonna have girl, not all pregnancy are the same, some of them are different then the others but you might have girl i am not also saying that you're not...just not prooven that if you have different symptoms during the pregnancy that you gonna have opposite baby.

Don't believer wives tales. Every pregnancy is different, you won't know what your having until you have an ultrasound at 5 months or you deliver.

I am sure plenty will say not necessarily but most of the people i know have been way sicker when they had girls than boys (when they have had one of each).

It was probably true for me too i am pregnant with a boy and i did have morning sickness but wasnt throwing up or anything.

Every pregnancy affects your body differently, regardless of the baby's gender. However, there is an old wives' tale that girls make you more nauseous than boys. I wouldn't bet money on it, but it can be fun to hope! Good luck!

No.

With my daughter, I didn't get sick, ever. With my son, I was sick all the time.

There's an old wives tale that morning sickness is more associated with having a girl, but research doesn't support it. This site is fun, it predicts the gender
