Haiti is the oldest black republic. They are the direct descendants of African slaves. There wasn't that much miscegenation going on. So, no Haitians are not black indians or afro-native american they are black. Unless a particular individual has mixed with another member of another race then their offspring would be mixed.

they are blacks..at the beginning it was an Island,,the "dominicos" catholic priests call the island "republica dominicana" dominican republic..then french came and took over the island..by that time most of the indians were killed by the spaniards...blacks were brought as slaves when france took over the island..I doubt it there is black indians perhaps like 4 in millions...most of the indians were killed so If someone got mixed..that was white people raping the black slaves..

They were African slaves of the French. I don't think there was a lot of mixing between the races so the must be very much akin ethnically to their ancestors.

Haitias have no ties what so ever to Native Ameircans! They have ties to the French because they were a French colony.
