my bf is an aquarius, and i'm a sag., and when i'm lookin in horoscopes for fun, it says that we're supposedly a "perfect match", but i've never met anyone so opposite from me! is it really true that we could be a match for one another? cuz i really don't think so!

First things first...any sign can be the perfect match for any sign.
However, speaking on an elemental level, you are a very good match. You, the sagittarius, are a fire sign and he, the aquarius, is an air sign. Simply stated, Air feeds Fire.
Sag's are ruled by Jupiter, the planet of education, luck and rationale. Aquarians are ruled by Uranus, the planet of rebellion, invention and originality.
As a sagittairus you are passionate about education and learning new things. You are also extremely rational and down to earth. What Aquarius brings to you is, a new way to look at things, which you might first deem as irrational...but because you are so into learning new things, eventually you can come around.
What you dislike is the Aquarian utopian ideal. They are erratic and bizzare and to you that is not something that can be rationalized. Therefore, you use your quest for truth, to cut his ideals (pipe dreams) down. All Sag's have that harshness of tongue.
I think that as long as you, as a Sag, can learn to not ruin his dreams, and he can learn that having such pie in the sky ideals, will not get him anywhere, then you will be fine.

I have 2 Aquarius friends (1 male, 1 female) and we can get along and have some laughs, but they tend to irritate me much sometimes.

The only signs I can see which may be compatible are your MOON signs. Both are air signs. You need more info on both charts. In order to properly cast the two charts, you need exact date-of-birth, exact time and location on the earth. Synastry is the art of astrologically combining two charts for compatibility.

LOL> me too! i'm an aquarius and my boyfriend is a sagittarius. our chinese animal signs are perfect for each other too but we're always arguing. i find it easy to forgive him and we make up pretty quick though.. so yeah, i guess.

astrology is ridiculous....they just set up very vague guidelines like, "something good will happen at work today," and expect people to belive that they're telling the future.
