the way to look at it is that you miss the fg BECAUSE you get fouled. so it doesn't count into your stats. it's actually a really great thing, because if you make it, it counts, if you don't, then it never existed.

Nope, it doesn't count as a shot when you get fouled. But, if you get fouled and make the shot, it does count as a made FG.

The difference hangs in whether or not the foul is what caused you to miss. If the ball is well on its way when you're fouled, and the ball misses on its own, it counts as a miss. If you get knocked down in the process of shooting, it does not count as an attempt.

if u r foul in thje act of shooting and u miss it doesnt count toward ure fg but if u r in the act of shooting and get fouled and u make the shoot it counts toward ur fg and that y u take only one shot
