Its known to be bad because of the way people/TV portray Liverpudlians to be confrontational, admittedly, some are, but most of the time they arent soo bad.

Though personally i try to avoid Liverpool if i can because everytime ive been there has been trouble of some sort!

Unfortunately, Liverpool has received bad press from the media for the past part of the last century! Why, it was seen as radical. Never scared to take on the Government of the day. During Industrial unrest in Liverpool and beyond 1906-1911, Royal Navy ships were reported to have sailed into it's River Mersey and pointed their guns directly towards the city (although shots were never fired). Liverpool was seen as not exactly the most patriotic place due the fact that many of it's citizen's were/are of Irish descent

I love Liverpool. I visit the place at least once per month to watch my football team (Everton of course) and I also lived there for a few years. It's a beautiful old city, with interesting archietecture and the Waterfront is improving by the week. It doesn't have any more problems than other major cities. It isn't perfect - but is improving.

I am not quite sure what you are asking about?
Because of your name, if you are talking about the football team how can you call a record number of league titles and the most European Cups won by a British team as 'bad'. I think any team in Britain would gladly swap places.

If you are talking about the City of Liverpool, obviously you have never been here, because then your question would be 'why is it so great'.

Fact Liverpool has a lower per capita crime rate than both London and Manchester, and is in fact one of the lowest in any city in Britain, but people just don't want to listen to that, they prefer myths.
