One thing though that you will have to change the visa status once you take up employment then you have to acquire a labour card - usuall done by the employer. This is mandatory by the Ministry of Labour here. Also, sometimes the educational certificates need to be verified and attested. Find out abt the Labour laws and other requirements before you fly down.
Best of Luck!

I do not know what your job exactly is. If it is more in the direction of 'secretary' than you do not need extra certificates. But that is something you could ask legal companies or recruitment agencies in Dubai.
For a good secretary there is lots of work, but as always... if you accept the offered salary.
Indeed it is much beter to prepare before you travel. And more important: make a strong, short CV. Search for jobs that would suite you and apply online or via email. Mention the dates that you will be in Dubai, that can make a big difference too.
On this site you find links to open vacancies at recruitment agencies and jobsites:

with also a few career pages at legal company websites.

I would say its not an wasy task to find a good job in Dubai, however it depends on your qualifications, level of experience and your English language level.
YOu should have your degree attested and verified, this could be done by the labour office for a 400Dhs fees, it is better you start your seacrh before arrival, check the classified of gulf news, and check with the recruitment agencies, Kershaw Leonard, Lobo mnagement, BAC, mozaik, byet.com and IQ selection, just serch for their websites on google you can get the sites easily.
Good luck

It is not so difficult, but Dubai is expensive and the rents are soooo high, make sure it's a good offer that pays for your home also.

I thinks the best is to search for the job before, this might help you to organise yourself and perhaps even find aplace to stay before hand given that accomodation is very expensive and some company's dont offer this, you would also be able to negotiate and agree on certain terms get everything in writing then make your way . Good luck
