If the foundation I bought cause me minor breakout, but I don't want to waste money changing and trying other foundation, can I just use a reliable moisturiser before I put on my foundation? Will that help?

I think it depends on the brand you are using and what is in it. I use only a foundation that is water-based and good for sensitive skin. I very rarely get a pimple, but there are some foundations out there are full of oils that will make me break out like crazy. I think you should always wear moisterizer anyways, so maybe try that and see if it works...but if not I would definitely invest in another brand. You might want to check the return policy at the store you purchased it and see if you can return it for something else.

You should probably spend the money and find another foundation. The moisturizer is not going to help. Check some of the sites under resources to see what different foundations contain. There are a lot of chemicals in foundations and you are probably allergic to one of the ingredients in the foundation that you bought. I use Affordable Mineral Makeup and I do not have a problem with clogged pores or break outs. You are going to have to find something that works well for you.

No, you're allergic to it. Sorry. Don't put it on you skin. It will only get worse. Oil based foundations cause clogged pores.
Foundations that claim to not clog pores are called non-comedogenic.
Good luck.

well if you have young males in your house, tell them that the foundation covers pimples if they use it lightly no one will know they are wearing it. Then sell it to them and buy yourself something new. ask where you buy your make up if they have sample products. they usually charge for them, but its only $2 as compares to $13. but whatever you do dont use it. you put on make up to highlight the features you have and cover blemishes not cause them. You can write the company and if you are nice they will often reimburse you or send you samples to find what works best for you.

Depends. If you're truly allergic to it, it won't matter what you put on under it- it will still react with your skin. Most makeup counters and drugstores will take opened foundation back if it caused an allergic reaction, with a proper receipt.

I wouldn't risk it. Breaking out sucks in general and is worth the money. I'd rather not wear foundation than use one that makes the situation worse...but that's just me.
