its so hard to tell someone you love you are gay because they may treat me different

The hard part is not the telling but what's comes after. I'm sure you can foster enough fortitude to tell them straight out, but you should prepare yourself for what their reaction might be. It would be hard for anyone other than you or other family members to know how they might react. You could always enlist the aid of a sympathetic aunt or sibling. Best of Luck!

My daughter and I went to lunch, and she said "oh by the way i am dating someone" I replied oh good..she added "its a woman" I replied oh.....the truth is, not knowing you or your folks how does nayone know how they will react. I was stunned---but ok-being a lesbian is simply a part of my daughter-she is smart, attractive, funny, kind, and oh yea a lesbian....it simply does not matter----her mother on the other hand was not thriled nor her younger sister...but we had her friend over for the holidays (very nice)
If they are upset give them some time--but I would hope that they remember they are your parents..They love you and that should be without conditions. good luck--------ask if you need any help.........

If you still live with them, wait until you are out of the house and can provide for yourself.
Parents you want to make it a little special I think. Maybe together at a dinner at a nice restaurant? Or maybe, if you connect with one more than the other, take them out one at a time!
Maybe at about dessert come out with it.

Who knows if you are butch they may already have a clue.Just sit them down and be honest about it. Dont be surprised if they are hurt or mad. For them it is the end of some of their dreams for you. Hopefully they will still accept you and love you for who you are. Good luck

Sit them down and be honest with them. If you feel that you need to tell them badly enough you'll take the chance. Just make sure you're ready for their reaction.
