As in, walk up near the stage real close!!
I've only been to one general admission conert (James Blunt) and we were allowed to stand in the front. It was awesome.
Is that how it always is with General Admission tickets?

Yes, it is always like that.
General Admission means every man (or woman) for themself.
If seating is available at a G.A. show, bear in mind, move your feet, lose your seat.

No, this depends on the venue. Some general admissions are in fact anywhere, but others are a confined area and are still good seats. Hit or miss just make sure to inquire before you buy on what type of seats you are looking at. If its truly a general admission or if there is a certain area for general admission.

General Admission basically means first come, first serve. I don't know where you are going, but there probably aren't any seats there. You have to stand when it is general admission. I'm not sure what time you'll have to be there, I am trying to find that out myself =] I'm going to their concert in June and it is also general admission. Hope I helped you a bit, have fun though! =]

"General admission" simply means there are no rows of seats.. and everyone has free roam of the venue. There will probably be a 'dance floor' close to the stage, a bar near the back, and 'club-style' seating in the middle.. You should have free roam of the entire venue (except for the bar, if you're under 21).

Yes, but you gotta fight the rest of the crowd to get to the front. This years Ozzfest in gonna be really interesting since it free. I'm not even gonna try to get through that mob.

If all of the tickets that are being sold are GA, then you can sit anywhere. However if they are also selling reserved, then you can only be in the GA section.
