Say you dated a woman for a year and a half and were very close and intimate. The feeling was mutual, yet you had to move across the state due to an eviction and being in debt. A devistating break up occurs! If you began talking to her another year and a half later (and in fact agreed to come see her for four days during V-Day), what would you be expecting/anticipating from her and the experience?

Basically, you were broken up when you were evicted. Also, you've talked in the year and a half time and you (amazingly enough) haven't moved on. She has. How do you feel about this?

I would say, that I would expect from her to be happy to see me! Not necessarily get laid, but that would be a strong wish if we were to continue our "long distance relationship".

Most of all, I would expect her to have missed me, cared about my problem, and if by God's luck help me fix it. Because I'm going out of my box to visit her, it means that I really do care about her, and a future with her is in my plans. Therefore, something similar to that matter would be nicely appreciated from her.

A nice catching-up-to-date moment would cool too. Besides, everyone's interested in another's life story.

I'm assuming that the break up was due to my financial situation at the time, seeing as how after a year and a half of great times, we still didn't move in together when I was evicted (Also the way you posed the question implies this...)

If I'm right in that, then I'd look at the woman as someone who didn't stick around when I needed her the most... as soon as the money stopped coming in... bam... a devastating break up occurred. I'd be bitter and angry about that.

Conseqently when I saw her next, I'd either be looking to use her for sex and that's it, or I'd have really improved my situation and love life and I'd be coming back to rub it in. However it worked out, I would have NO intention of putting my trust in someone like that again.

******edit based on your edit******

I'd feel that if she still gave me enough thought that she'd want to see me again, then she poses a question on Yahoo and thinks carefully about the upcoming meeting with me, then maybe I still have a shot. ;-)

If you're completely over me, though, and it was obvious, then I doubt I'd expect anything much... I'd roll with whatever you presented me. But if this guy is still hung up on you a year and a half later, then he doesn't think like the average respondent here and really, any kind of wack situation could happen. I'd be a little careful.

A year and a half is a long time and she might've gotten over you and moved on with her life. At this moment I wouldnt expect much but I'd play it by ear. If it looks like she might still be keen you might be able to get a reminder of the relationship, if you know what I mean!?. But if she has moved on, friendship is all you can expect.

I don't want to sound sexist but women are fools when dealing with men. He loved you but he let go? I wouldn't let my woman go; "Very close and intimate"? It doesn't mean love, it means easy sex.

You are just the typical ex-girlfriend (a safe bet if you need free sex). All ex-girlfriends give free sex expecting to have their men back, guys know that and they use that in their favor when they need a "fix". But the next morning do not expect to see them around.

But I know women, no matter what we say here, he will sweet talk to you and you are gonna give him all the free sex he can have in those 4 days (lucky bastard). And then he'll go back to his real life and tell his friends about his hot weekend and how "good" he was at it. Another notch in the belt.
