CAUSE: I believe that there are many, MANY causes for stress. People who are in higher positions or get paid higher are usually more stressed than those of low positions, because they are frequently being challenged for their power. People who have more worrying personalities get stressful more often. People who are achieving a lot or achieving very little get stressed because of the pressure of "keeping up the good work" or "bringing up the 'F'". People get stressed from procrastination. People get stressed when there are too many things they have to do and they can't do it all, or when a task is far too difficult for them to complete. People get stressed from just about anything.
HANDLING STRESS: One could try a variety of different methods. You could do some physical activities, such as yoga or pilates or something that would help you relax. You could scream your head off into a pillow or in the bathroom until you feel a little better (note: do not attempt this in a public bathroom, people will get angry). You could talk it over with your friends, family members, or professionals if it's getting really bad. You could try to find the source of the stress and eliminate it. You could take a little break from "the real world" such as going on a vacation or playing video games for an hour. Basically, whatever suits you. Of course there are more methods, but I can't think of them right now. :P
WHY DO PEOPLE WORRY WRONG THINGS: Oftentimes, this relates to their personality. People who are usually carefree and relaxed don't worry too much anyways, and thus worry wrong things less than people who demand perfection. Also, people worry wrong things because they care too much about it to see what is really important and what is really not. People also worry wrong things when they do not understand the reality of a circumastance or situation. To prevent from worrying wrong things, try to clarify the evidence and relax to see reality.

Stress is when you have too many things going on and it eventually short circuits the brain, just like a battery being overused. People worry about things if it's important to them, and if they give meaning to it. Sometimes people can be subconciously manipulated to give false meaning to something that may not be important to them or be led to have high faith in something false. That's what a lot of cults and sects do. And it can cause a lot of stress when they fear the consequences of not doing something correctly.
The best way to handle it is to be prepared and do not let things overwhelm you. As people would say, don't procastinate and deal with things right away (like answering emails).
Another area of worrying may be death or reaching englightenment. Well, I personally think, don't worry about that, because you will never find out what will be like. Death is when the accumulation of knowledge has stopped, so it is impossible to know more. I read a really good book if you are interested in this kind of stuff. He reached englightenment, but it wasn't a good feeling to him. http://www.MindIsAMyth.com/read.php

stress is caused by many factors including over working, being underpaid, not having enough free time to yourself, not being able to take out of your job to see your friends or family, worry for people you care about, and many other factors as well and the reason we worry wrong things is because we are not thinking clearly or just too afraid of what could go wrong. how to dael with stress is either doing a Little r&r, or playing one on one basketball, or just going somewhere by yourself and shouting it all out....

it's caused when a person can't handle a situation...when they're body can't handle too many things at once...when too much is expected. to handle it better, they have to find out what it is that they cannot handle and deal with it one step at a time.

stress is a term used by society to express something too much mind and physical pressure.
the actual is its the result of something your subconscious and conscious mind not agreeing with each other but still you decided to make the event happen without agreement. result of body and mind imbalance. then without giving attention to those feelings to make it right, it just pile up, until you feel like you're out of these world.
