Hi, I live in Canada and would like to get a job teaching in the middle east, although I would like it to either Saudi Arabia, UAE or Egypt. I have my bachelors and a tesol/tesl certificate. Could someone please let me know of the process to follow. Plus, does anyone know who to contact or send my resume to? Please also, if you have any contact info. for anybody to reach, then please let me know. I know that sometimes they are gender specific and I am a female. Thank you for any information you are able to provide.

I would suggest you to search for the job ads published in the local newspaper classified sections, also upload your CV to the job sites. Go through the following links.

Good luck.

Hi,

forget Saudi Arabia as a single female. The most important thing is, you need a sponsor. This, in your case, will be the school. The sponsor will arrange the residence visa and labour permit after employment. All costs visa related costs have to be on the employer.

Below please find a link with all school, universities and education centers in the UAE with their contacts.

For you as a Canadian you should look at: www.Canuckaboard.com
look under no: 19, 24, 30, 107 and 129
join the Canadian Forum and get in contact with people having teaching jobs in the Middle East already (#129)

Good luck!

If you are in teaching field, why don't you try schools in the Middle East & language centers.

& you are Canadian, so, I guess you speak French!
& that is an advantage.

If any Middle Eastern country/company hired you, they will take care of your legal situation there.
They will sponsor you - especially the Gulf-
Other countries: you are not going to have a problem working there as a Canadian.

Good luck
Its a good experience for you and fun.
