Do people who show-off their material possessions or exhibit superior intellect turn you on big time?

Nope. All that means is that they don't have enough true personality to impress with. If they have to use props, or attempt to belittle me with their conceited belief that they're smarter than me (or other people around them)...they don't really have the substance I'm looking for, and never will. People use that cr@p to hide inadequacies. If he's really that smart, it will show naturally. If he has to push it on people...it's just a smoke screen to hide his inferiority complex.

Not when the purpose is to show off or be arrogant - that equals a huge turn off.
Material things are nice but I want to know if they are paid for or on debt. Are they earned or handed to you?
Intellect - superior to who? Thinking you are superior to someone is a gigantic turn off. Smart people who know things and are good conversationalists - turn on.
Anybody with a head full of themselves is a melon.

No. It comes off as arrogant/materialistic, and it's a HUGE turn off. People who really have something to show off know that doing so is not classy, and they let it come through in the way that they carry themselves. Any man who feels the need to show off is trying to assert his superiority (when he probably isn't) over you and make you feel "lucky" to be with him -- a sign of insecurity.

yes both
a guy that shows off his material possessions...may be someone that has worked very hard to get to that point in his life. showing off could mean that he is confident and loves his life, which is a good thing.
the one that would be more of a turn on would be exhibiting superior intellect. i love guys that are intelligent and witty. i love dating someone that i can learn a lot from. it makes me feel like a little girl looking up to my daddy or something. it makes me feel like i can rely on him with every situation that would arise throughout our relationship

Uh, no.

Women like guys who show off their athletic prowess or physical skills, like fixing the car. That's what gets us going. I think it's kinda like foreplay or a mating dance. Oh yeah, and lots of women like men who can dance too.
