There can never be an excuse for NOT doing homework, unless you turn up for school in a coffin.

I'm not advocating making excuses but the best one I could ever think of (that's totally not true by the way)

"My dad got really drunk again and my mom got so mad the police carted her off to the mental institution and my dad went to detox for the night. I had to stay with my blind grandma 20 miles away, and in the confusion I left my homework on the kitchen table at home. I remember I stopped working when the neighbor came to the door with a rifle and told us be shut up or he would kill our dog."

Sweetie, there is no excuse for not doing your homework... your life is going to be as good as you make it. When you have a good education you have choices in your life - what you want to do, where you want to live, what you want to buy, and how much you can contribute to society.

Now, turn off the computer and DO YOUR HOMEWORK!

good luck

Excuses are not acceptable. The simple answer is "I should have done my homework, but I didn't. I'm sorry." Then you proceed to do your homework in the future and fix your mistake.

You should really just do your d@#% homework..... but if you really must have an excuse.....
"I had diarhea for hours last night.... I'm sorry."

Kinda gross, but can you think of any teacher that would really question it?

If I was the teacher, I WOULDN'T WANT ANY MORE DETAILS THAN THAT!!!!

at my school, there is a rule that if you have over two hours of homework, once you've hit the two hour mark, you can stop. check and see if your school has a rule like this, and just work really slow. (i have never done this, but friends have)

you must acted shocked and distraught and claim it was left home, then go home and do it. (always worked for me, but don't use it too often) should have been done in the first place, but i know how it is to look at work and say, i just don't want to do this.

Just say you went to visit your uncle (which is very far) and when you were half way there you checked your backback and your homework wasn't there.

Rethink this....is it really easier to make excuses than to just do it?? The only one being short changed is you....

You wrote out your assignment, but the CSI needed the paper for blood-spatter evidence.
