Come on cheer up you are just having a down moment we all get them at times a few years ago I felt like giving up then I was so ill nearly died and am very lucky to be here now, it has given me a different outlook on life. I am a catholic although not practising if you have ever read the poem footprints then you probably only see one set of footprints at the moment and that is because God is carrying you. Try and see your life through your children's eyes and just imagine what their little faces would be like crying without you and then think of now when they see you in the morning not crying and happy and excited if there is a little snow. Lots of us take those little things for granted only they are the important things. I do know what it is like to be in pain so I do understand so smile now and think again of the faces that will greet you in the morning. I'm not good at praying myself so I will keep you in my thoughts and hope that how you are feeling now will pass. Take care.

hmmmm, tough one here, tough one
why is it that you blame god for making a mess of your life when you did it to yourself
i clearly gave you a beautiful world to explore and take away the anxiety and the stress and yet that is all you do is stress yourself out, yes your mom dies so many years ago, people die, but instead of sitting down and watching a sunset and crying and letting that pain out you instead took the wrong path and bottled it all up and kept that poisonous pain inside you, why? for what?
what did it do for you?
miracles no longer happen because mortals do not understand in them and try to give them all sorts of explanations, back so many years ago if a miracle happened then people were burned at the stake and hanged and brutaly killed for whatever reason
if you recieved the miracle of healing right now, would you apreciate it? or would you turn back to your evil ways and do the same thing over and over again, would you ruin your health again over something so foolish?
i think you would, i know you would, because you have been touched by darkness and influenced by evil, your heart has been poisoned against the good and the light
you have recieved so much and yet used so little, for shame, no more tears, no more crying, what will come will come, you can not live forever, you only have the time that you have been granted, and eventually you will come home to where you belong
but look at you now, worrying about something so inevitable its like the rising and setting of the sun, you will die eventually, you all will, but while you are here, how do you choose to spend your time? do you choose to spend iot wisely and enjoy the world? no, you choose to spend it by destroying your health even more by sitting there and worrying about dying
some mortals never learn a lesson
if i were to ask you right now, what is the meaning of life?
would you be able to answer me?
do you know?
such a tragedy for someone to have existed for so long but never realy lived, just existed, it is indeed sad
prayers will not save you, but you can save you

Obviously you have a reason to feel the way you do but continue to pray and try to think about the things in your life that are actually good, your kids, your wife, medication that helps you get thru and thank God for those things. It's not easy but positive thinking seems to help alot of people get through difficult situations.

Read your profile jim, and life is sure not been easy for you and your family at all.
But, I also read some of your Qs&As and you are a pretty wise guy!.
Too wise, to throw it in so easy.Too wise, not to realise this is just a bad day.
A really bad day!
You have had them before and will again.
What you do is, deal with it and move on to the next day.
Most times you find its no so bad as yesterday, and you get through it.
Its too easy for people to write flowery words of advice, offer you their prayers and advise you to talk to God.
I'm sure if you felt you were able to get through to him, you would do it yourself.
You may even feel you have a few things you would like to ask him or get him to explain to you.
But,it is nice to hear people care, and I'm sure you appreciate their words.
Even if it appears not to do much in a practicle way. I'm sure at some level it does help you and your family to deal with all this. Even if it just lets you know, that people do care.
That in its self is important.
Its true, they do really care, and many wish they could help you in some tangible way.
But unfortunately, we can't!
We can only give you support from all over the world.
Some will pray for you, some just will sit and think of how you deal with your situation, others will shed a few tears and send you wishes of comfort and courage.
But each and every one cares in their own way.!
I know you are astute enough to know, that is the reality.
We have our heaven or our hell on this earth, in this very lifetime.
It has nothing to do with if ,you've been bad or good,(that's Santa and his presents, not life). You don't deserve this, and no one is to blame.
Its just the way life goes.
Look at the ways you are blessed. You have a wife who is so loving and devoted and always there for you. Your kids who love you and are being strong for you.
Family ,and friends, something tells me you have a few of them!
Everyone of those people and more, are there for you.
I am not belittleling your situation but, you really don't have to look far to find anothers shoes you are glad you are not in.
Keep sight of the detail ,the little things and the everyday things. Sometimes when the big picture is looking so dark, you don't notice them.
But, believe me like precious jewels they are there, and they are yours alone to cherish.
So keep you spirits high and your kilt low. Just make sure you give life your best shot!
The Best of Wishes to you from Australia.

I to am disabled and in severe pain everyday 24/7....There is a reason why you are still here, I'm still trying to figure out why i am...I have no idea what your disability is, but you need to take control at least mentally. I have things that keep me busy, to keep my mind off the pain, that and pain killers... Find something that makes you happy, it doesn't have to have anything to do with your family, because of coarse you love them. You need to be selfish sometimes and think of yourself and your well being...If you don't take care of yourself you can not take care of someone else. Whatever disease or disorder you have you could find a support group...Its easier to talk to someone who has what you have and know exactly what you are going through....
Just hang in there and think about what it is YOU need...

If it's one thing about God is that he works in mysterious ways. Sometimes things are for the best even when they seem there worst. In time things will get better. If anything it will help your family become closer and let you see how important family is. Many people take that for granted and don't know how lucky they are to have that in life. Remember that God never gives us more than we can take. Find the strength in your family and see that things will get better.

First of all God would never tell you that your family would be better off with out you. That is a lie. Satan is the father of lies. I know that sometimes life is hard. But ending your life is NOT the answer. It would devastate your family. They would be lost without you.
If you have a Bible please read it. Make a deliberate attempt to read your Bible eavry day. Start in Matthew or James. Read one chapter in the morning and one at night. Make an attempt to pray to God other than for wants, pray simple prayers at meal times, and when you start to feel depressed pray another simple prayer then to. This is called a walk with God.
When you feel down call out to God, with a humble heart, and ask Him to show you the way out of the dark.
Find other Christians, fellowship is important. The body of Christ needs its other members. Hands alone are no good. See what I mean. If one church is rude move on there are plenty of them out there. Tell a pastor of your thoughts of suicide, ask him to pray over you ask your other half to pray over you ask your children and parents to.
If you cannot wait till then, please seek medical help. You are special. You life means something. You are covered with the finger prints of God, He made you and He makes no mistakes. There never has been nor will be another you. It would be a great loss if your life was over. Jesus didn't shed His blood for nothing! He did it because He loves you, He bought you at a high price. He loves you He loves you....don't ever forget!!!
You have people who love you embrace them! and read your Bible. The truth will set you free.

God does listen to every ones cry. He hears you too. I am so sorry to hear of what you are going through. You need to have trust in God that He will comfort you with your pain. Ask Him to give you the peace and strength to move on with your life. He knows your pain and He knows that you have a wife and kids. He is there for you to come to Him for help. I pray that God will strengthen you and heal you from your illness, that He will comfort you and your family, that He will give you the strength for you to heal and so that you can provide and be yourself again to support your family.
You just hang in there friend. God does hear you and so do I. My prayers are with you and may God of Israel never leave you nor forsake you and may He give you peace. Amen!
