I have made fatal mistakes in my duties, i have tried to solve it and my boss is very angry. I feel so guilty. I feel like to resign but i still have financial debts in this office for two years. Do you think it is allright to resign? In next job interview, what should i answer when asked why i quit from this job? I have worked here for 5 years.

My mistake is i have wrong-calculated for the costs in a project because of my carelessness.

Why i owe to company is that an amount of money to support me in buying a house (it's my boss offerred me to lend the money and every month, company deducts my salary until 2 years). My boss is really really a good boss and that's why i feel so uneasy about this

What do you mean by fatal mistakes and why do you owe 2 years of debts? I think you need to take time to get your affairs straightened out before you try getting a different job.

I think we might be better able to help you if we knew a little more about your situation (you don't have to tell us everything, though!) "Fatal mistakes" and "financial debts" aren't very clear, I'm afraid.

The only thing I can recommend is talking to your boss. If you've worked there for five years, I can only hope that you have a relatively decent line of communication open with him/her. You have tried to fix what you've done, and that should count for something. Have your boss help you figure out what went wrong, how it can be fixed, and what you can do in the future to regain his/her trust. Depending on what exactly your financial obligations are to where you work (?), resigning can make your situation better, or worse.

If you do decide to resign, you don't need to go into great detail about why you left with other prospective employers. You have, after all, been with the same office for five years, so it's not like you have a history of job-hopping. I wouldn't lie to them, but tell them something like you needed a different challenge, or that particular work no longer suited you, or something like that. If you are fired from that job, then you will have to be more forthcoming.

Good luck! I hope everything works out for you.

If your boss is so angry, one has to wonder why he hasn't fired you. Maybe he's come to understand that people make mistakes and in your case, it sounds like you tried to solve them and have learned from it. Don't throw five years away because of some tough errors... it happens. Try to show your true worth... work harder than ever to show you mean business. Let it go, my dear. Let it go.

Nahhh.. everybody stuffs up and if your boss wanted to fire you he probably would of done so already... unless he needs time to train someone first...

Its up to you... I say give it 2 weeks to sum up how you feel...
