YES, YOUR FATHER CAN CLAIM YOU UNITL THE AGE OF 24 IF YOU ARE A FULL TIME STUDENT. HE GETS THE DEDUCTION FOR YOU ON HIS INCOME TAXES. YOU IN TURN CAN FILE YOU OWN 1040 INCOME TAX RETURN AND GET A REFUND. YOU CAN PICKUP A 1040 BOOKLET AT YOUR LOCAL POST OFFICE OR LIBRARY. ALL THE INFORMATION THAT YOU NEED WILL BE IN IT.CHECK IT OUT.

Yes, and if you made over $5150 from a job, you are required to. If you had income not shown on a W-2, the limit is lower.

If you don't have to file but had federal income taxes withheld, then you should file to get them refunded to you.

When you file, be sure to note on your return that you are a dependent. If you use form 1040EZ, there's a box to check on line 5.
