U have 30 billion bytes (30GB) of memory, so... that's, what? 1 mega byte is about 1 million bytes (exactly 1,048,576 bytes), so that should leave you with space for about... I think it's supposed to be 7500 songs, b/c then the 60gb would be like 15000 songs(?). That's with songs roughly at an avg of 5:00 I believe.

I estimate the average song is like 4 mb. For every GB that is 250 songs. That is around 7500 songs.

figure a song is 2-3 mb do the math past that

my pocket DJ hold about 1000 songs and it's 5 gigs. so a 30 gig will probably hold about 6000 songs...

Actually, it's only a mere 27gb ipod, but nonetheless, I think each song is about 1mgb; so, I'd say somewhere around 27,000 song.

Apple won't tell you this but it will hold about 13,500 songs (avg sized songs)
