Why is calculated diff. from measured when using a lever?

Bending of the lever?
Friction?
Weights are not spread evenly?
Movement of the fulcrum into the soil or base?
Thickness of the lever, calculations are actually for a lever with no thickness, impossible in real terms.
Also the distances are not accurate, the weight at the end will have a thickness and width, the distance to the beginning of the weight will be different to the distance to the other end. Which distance do you use for calculation? Or do you measure the middle?

Hope this helps
