The reason that the bears lost was because they didn't play good enough offense. There Defense held up for a little while and held the colts to Field-goals and Vinateri even missed a chip-shot, but when your offense does jack, then the defense wears out from being on the Field the whole game and the colts offense just took advantage of that as many knew they would. The NFC really has to toughen up...

Someone forgot to pick on the offensive coordinator Ron Turner who had some of the same issues of play calling with Erik Kramer, although Kramer had put some real good numbers in 95, the Bears missed the playoff, recording a 9 and 7 record. He shys away from no huddle offense and shot gun formation. Rex is only 26 and Peyton took 9 years to get to the superbowl. If you look at Rex 1st year as a QB and Peyton, youd be saying Peyton was the worse QB of the two..Give the kid some time grow, 2nd year at full will show a little more of what he is made of...if he regresses, then it will be unfortunate to start looking again..

They played awful defense. Lovie Smith was smart by running the ball instead of Rex throwing picks although Benson got injured and Jones didn't have that great of a game. In the end Rex was not smart and threw two picks on two possesions. The Colts played good defense and forced the Bears to punt a lot. The people you could say actually did good for the Bears were Urlacher, Tillman (CB), and Devin Hester.

It has to start with the defense. The Bears played way too conservatively and let Peyton march the Colts down the field on little 5-10 yard passes. They couldnt get the run game started and we knew that would be a problem, cause that would mean Rex would have to throw. You know the only games Rex was good, was because the running game was good. Rex is good when the running game is solid and the safeties start coming up, and he can throw to one on one coverage.

Colts we're a better Team, and Rex Grossman isn't as Good of a Quarterback as Manning, or Brady or Favre, the Bears a Good team too why just need a Better Quarterback like Jeff Garcia like or Donovan McNabb, nobody in Chicago would my suggestions but you'll Be HAPPIER if you just listen and Know why your team lost the Superbowl.

I got the Answers Most Dumbasses in Chicago choose to Believe in, Keep Grossman in your lose as Many Superbowls as the Buffalo Bills (XXV, XXVI, XXVII, XXVIII,) If you want go that route along with the other Dumb Mistakes you made in your own Lives, the Bears will be like the CUBBIES Losing Championship after Championship.

Chicagoans better stop acting like Children and Control this Situation.

It was always going to be about the bears D vs the colts O...and the colts just controlled the game. They litterally wore out the bears big hitting Defense that got them to the superbowl in the first place! Plus it wasnt helped by their offence going three and out most of the game!! Grossman made some bad choices (one play he should have run the ball to get the first down but decided to pass it which was then batted down and again they were forced to punt) So in my opinion, the colts just played a better game plan...

On a whole though, I thought the game was pretty good and Im glad to see a weather affected game in the superbowl for a change!

Take the Superbowl back to the frozen tundra for a change to sort out the real men from the boys!!

Off the subject but my pick for the pro-bowl - AFC they have been too strong all year!

The Bears lost because they didn't play aggressive defense and didn't stop the run when they needed to. They gave the colts too much underneath stuff and didn't pressure Manning enough. The Steelers proved last year that they way to beat him is to knock him around and make him nervous. The Bears offense didn't keep the ball long enough either.

Unlike everyone else who will pin the loss on Grossman, it was a 53-man effort to lose that game. The offensive line was mediocre, the defensive line was manhandled and got no pass rush on Manning, and the entire defense couldn't tackle to save their souls.

Grossman threw two very bad passes, but he did not cost the Bears the game on his own. The entire team lost it.

They had the worst QB in the NFL starting the game. He than turned the ball over 4 times. O and the fact that the great Bears defence couldn't have even stopped my grandma from running uo and down the field on them.

did not capatalize on turnovers they forced....They kept giving the ball right back as soon as the defense took it away...that caused the defense to be realy tired by mid 3rd quarter espeacially after that 10 minute + drive.

Also, the safetys of the bears were both un experianced and thats why u had that bomd to reggie when he was WIDE open.

so basically
1. not captalizing
2. Poor offense
3. too many little mistakes
4. And the injury to thier RB in the 1st quarter
