A womens size in mens would run two sizes smaller. You would wear and six and a half in mens.

i wear an 8.5 shoe as well. My roller blades are size 7 men's. But my rockport rain sloshy shoes are an 8 because I wear them with big fluffy socks. I would probably say 7 -7.5 depending on the shoe and fit.

Generally speaking a man's shoe size is 2 sizes smaller than a woman's. So, if you are a size 8.5 you would wear a men's size 6.5.

a 6 1/2 because men shoes are 2 sizes larger than women like me i wear a 6 in women that is a 4 in mens

Depends on the maker.
In general womens shoes a one number behind mens for the same size. But some are a size and a half behind.

All mens shoes will be two number sizes smaller than womens...therefore 6.5 in mens is 8.5 in womens.
